A jolt goes through my body. Tiny. It feels like an earthquake to me.
I feel more unstable than ever before. I don't recognize myself.
I am trying to regain my sensation. For something that was as natural to me as breathing...
“how strange you are” is a snapshot of my relationship to a synthetic ice floor that promises a lot, but gives me the feeling of having to “learn to walk again”.
The impulse for the creation of the 8-minute short performancewas was a dramaturgical advanced training with Dr. Maren Witte (Tanzscout Berlin).
It was premiered at the 2. Open Stage of the IceLab Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany and is the counterpart to the performance on ice "When the ice breaks...".
